Our Mission

The Certified Green Dealer Program™ is designed to provide lumber and building material dealers and their staffs with a broad-based overview of good green building techniques, and to educate them about how to recommend greener product choices to their builder/contractor customers.

The core video module training, in conjunction with additional printed study material, suggests ways in which lumber and building material dealers can support and encourage careful, best-practices building techniques that make the most efficient use of resources.

The core training also provides an overview of new and existing product categories that can improve energy conservation, indoor air quality, and building integrity.

Additional elective video training and materials, provided by supporting sponsors of the CGD program, is available to participating dealers who wish to learn more about specific sponsor product lines.
